Fiance and I were talking about how at some weddings we’ve been to, there has not been a distict gap between the prelude and the processional. Everyone will be talking, and then “OH… um.. there’s the mothers! Totally didn’t know it was starting yet!”
We want a little more distinction, so we thought of maybe having our readings to start the ceremony. Our thought was to have our musicians stop playing, our pastor to enter, and the couple who will be doing our readings to begin with maybe some quiet piano in the background or something, then the actual processional of the mothers…etc.
Does this sound weird to anyone? Has anyone ever seen it done at a wedding before? Do you think we’ll have a problem with people not getting quiet and our readers not being able to start? This is just an idea we came up with last night, so I need some feedback! 🙂
