- Wedding: October 2018
Anyone want to share wedding planning moments of genius? I’m talking creative and low cost ways you tackled your wedding planned that made you feel like you have a PhD in this stuff.
I’ll share mine:
- Hotel block the Drury Plaza. It was $90/night and includes breakfast and a free happy hour everyday at 5:30. Free beer is the best beer! They are also providing a free shuttle service to and from the venue. The contract was also very simple and did not state any punishment for not reserving the full block.
- Inviting everyone to a Friday dance lesson at a bar that does this regularly. No need to book a large room or a private instructor, plus those who can’t stand to dance can still grab a drink. Dance lessons often rotate partners, so this gives Fiance and I a chance to greet our guests outside of the wedding. The bar offered a free buffet and two free drink tickets per guest for our party (I guess they are counting on us getting slammed and buying out a whole shelf or something). Zero dollars from me and effortless planning 🙂
