@littlegraykitten: Hello again! The belt is part of the dress (I was thinking of trying covering it with a different sash at some point later).
Now about the Maggie Sottero Presca, I loved it too and really thought this was THE ONE, but when I tried it on something was wrong…Maybe it was not good for our body type. I think the one you booked is lovely! Don’t have second thoughts! You will look amazing! Do post a picture after alterations!
Now we should go on with the other 1.000.000 things we need to decide on! Hair, make up, hair pieces, shoes etc etc etc 🙂
What veil are you wearing by the way? The only veil available in the store was a two-tier cathedral lace veil which I found a bit too much, but will probably go for it just to avoid looking around for something different.
Good luck with everything! keep in touch!

@Lina82: Hi again 🙂 Yea, I think I might like it more if there was a sash instead. I agree about Presca. I didn’t feel it was flattering to my hip area (I have pretty wide hips, I think they’re like 37.5 or 38″) and that dress made me feel self-conscious about it. But thanks again for the reassurance, I’ll definitely come back with pictures of the altered dress 🙂
I think I’m going with a 1 tier ribbon-edge cathedral length veil. Haven’t bought it yet though. I heard they’re super cheap on Etsy (not sure they have etsy.com overseas but I think there’s an equivalent website…?) Do you know what you’re doing with your hair yet (up, down, half up)?

@littlegraykitten: Hello there! Now about hair…I am considering doing a high updo (because my mum has been telling me since I was little that it looks good on me). Something like this:
or maybe something not so high like this:
I would love to do my hair down but the wedding will be close to the sea and the humidity will make it look awful i think.
The think is that I don’t want the veil to go under the chignon, but I am not sure if it will look good on me. Something like this (the veil is actually very similar to the one that the bridal store is giving me along with the dress I bought):
What do you think?
How about your hair? A vintage hairstyle would look amazing!

@Lina82: Ooooh I love the third hairstyle. And the veil is really pretty, is it two tiers? I think if you did the last hairstyle you could wear the veil above the chignon. Very pretty!!
I’m considering these two very different hair options;
My mom hates my hair half up half down like this, but I really like it. The only problem is that my hair is stick straight and very fine, so it does not hold a curl very well. But I just love the braids.
I really like this one as well. It’s kind of similar to your last one, I think. But i love love love headbands and I think this lace one is gorgeous. Not sure how to work that in with the veil, but I might be able to just switch out the veil and use the headband for the reception.
I have side-swept bangs, so I’d imagine the front of that one might look something like this
I think for jewelery, I was going to go with simple pearls. I have a strand of pearls that my mom bought for me and a pair of pearl earrings with a small diamond on them that my aunt bought for me as a high school graduation present. The look like this but less white and more ivory;
I don’t do a lot of jewelery normally and I just can’t imagine being all blinged out on my wedding day. Plus i love the look of lace and pearls more than crystal and lace. So many things to consider!! Ahh!!

@Lina82: I love those hairstyles, it instantly reminded me of the way Hilary Duff had her hair for her wedding!
The only thing is that she had her veil underneath. Maybe you could do something like this?

@littlegraykitten: Hi! I love hair half up half down… but like in your case my mum doesn’t approve…! My first choice was this one:
But I have straight hair too so it could be hard with all this humidity by the sea
If you like braids (which will look amazing with your dress), maybe you could try something like this:
Now about jewellery, I don’t normally wear any either. And since my dress has some bling bling I was thinking of not wearing any, except a headband during the reception. I love the pearls and I was planning on wearing pearl earlings but now I think that they will not go well with the sparkle. I found some really nice headbands on etsy.com. Will send some photos.

@aaalexx: Hello! Thanks for posting these pictures! The first updo is what I was going for. I did find this one where the updo is not so high, which is probably what I will try.
Thanks again for the ideas!

@Lina82: Omg i have this veil too. Mine is the Cosmobella veil. My hair .. haven’t decided either. I’ve been pinterest all possibilities, but yea vintage hairstyle would be best. I am adding a Jenny Packham headdress. May be a bit overboard… I’ll take pics of my overall look once my dress is finished being altered.

@salmahmed: Hello there! Sorry for the late reply but I was really busy getting married! 😀 My wedding was on the 9th of June 🙂
My dress is from an italian brand called Nicole Spose http://www.nicolespose.it/en/home
Specifically it is from the Jolies Collection. Here is a picture on the model.

@salmahmed: Also, I have tried on the Berlin Pronovias but I did not like the neckline at all! It was too high and not flattering at all. I ended up with a sweatheart neckline. I found the Alcanar and Barocco models of Pronovias amazing, but a close friend bought one of them so I changed plans.

@SaraLynne024: It’s Marisa 802. Thank you, I loved it too!!
