Hi! My bridesmaids ordered Priscilla of Boston Classics dresses (Style CL1105-S) in Lapis. It is a very jewel-toned purple. It would help to see some photos of girls in this color, aside from the picture on priscillaofboston.com
Does anyone have an pictures of their bridesmaids wearing Priscilla of Boston dresses in Lapis? The classics collection preferably, but I just want to see what they look like at a real wedding!

@lauren521: Can I ask how much your girls paid for their dresses? I am trying to figure out how much priscilla of boston runs.. Thanks!

The wedding I was in last weekend was POB. The bride lives in Boston, but I went to the raleigh store to try the dress on, and had to order it through the flagship store in Boston. I paid $200 for the dress, and then another $100 to alter it when the ladies talked me into ordering a dress that is 2 SIZES TOO BIG. Oh, and spent another $50 on shipping to get 2 dresses from Boston to my house, and the other dress from my house to Raleigh. Total: $350. It was ridiculous, and the MOST EXPENSIVE dress I have ever purchased aside from my own wedding dress. And I HATE taffeta, so I will prob. never wear it again. I hope my bm’s never have to pay that much just to be a part of my wedding. I’m asking them to be there for me, after all.
On the positive, my dress was black, so if I needed to wear a full length strapless taffeta empire balloon dress again, it’ll go with anything! But the other girls wore the purple jewel tone, and it was gorgeous. It kinda reminded me of the wind jackets that you could purchase at the shore that had that irridescent quality about them. Just think about their budgets before you decide, and get their opinion first. I didn’t have a choice.

@MsPensFan My girls ordered Priscilla of Boston Style CL1105-S. It is satin, so it is not iridescent. They paid $160 which is pretty average. Alterations will run $20-$100 depending on what they need done. For a friend’s wedding I was in, I got my bridesmaid dress alterations done by Connie Taylor in Cary, NC and it was $60. She did a fabulous job.
Be careful when ordering formal wear – they definitely want to make money off of alterations! Have them show you the size chart and be sure of what you are ordering.
You can save your bridesmaids money if you have them all order the dress from the same store, then you as the bride pick them up. It will save them the hefty shipping costs! I will be picking my dresses up in February and distributing them at the bridal shower or bachelorette party so that they have enough time to get them altered.
If anyone has any pictures of their girls wearing Priscilla of Boston Lapis, please post 🙂
