We thought it might be OK to provide a little firsthand information about The Conrad Botzum Farmstead from The Farmstead. The Farmstead is about 160 some years old, and very well preserved, but not modernized. And, yes, it is a old barn at the old farm. We have never tried to say otherwise or give false information. The barn is about 150 years old, preserved and not modern. We did put in electricty. It has a new roof, that does not leak, and a 25′ x 45′ deck on the front that is covered with a canopy, that also doesn’t leak. And, yes, the bathrooms are outside of the barn. Because the barn is on the National Register of Historic Places, we could not add toilets to the building. They are about 60′ away, weatherproof, handicapped accessible, have hot and cold water, an 8′ vanity and flush toilets, and electricity. There are two. There are 15 acres of meadows and woods to enjoy, parking for 300 cars (out of site), and two to four staff members to assist for every event, including, maintaining the bathrooms. We have hosted 218 weddings, with three disgruntled clients. We know we are not supposed to advertise, but we would like to set the record straight.
