@happyface:  Give your dream job a try! You never know how it could work out. Maybe you wouldn’t get enough work to make it full time, but surely part time alongside the cleaning role is better than never?

I’m currently on the job hunt trying to make my dream happen so I’ll replace real job with last job.

Last Job

Broker collections for a major British insurance corporation. I got into the role through temping after my dream of working in the media left me chronically underemployed. Nice people but not where I wanted to end up.

Dream Job

My dream for a long time has been to work in film development, evaluating potential scripts for production companies or studios. I’ve had some internship experience in this field but not enough paid experience to make a living. I’d love to evaluate scripts on the side though if I get an opportunity.

I think being a literary agent would be a fantastic job as well, discovering new writers and helping their projects get into the right hands.

My realistic dream job is working in marketing or PR for an exciting company. I am determined to make this happen.

Real job: Working for a worldwide non-profit agency as a logistics coordinator.

Dream job: Working with seniors.  I love them.  Ideally I’d like to be an events coordinator at a retirement home, or a companion on their daily outings.

@KatyElle:  Raising a child is probably the most difficult job of all! 🙂

I have my dream job right now!  I teach gifted students in a pull out program.  I absolutely love what I do, love my kids, love my district… it’s fantastic.  However, in a few months we’re moving, so next year I won’t have my dream job anymore. 🙁

My real job =

Teaching part time at a communit college and working part time as an Academic Director.

I teach because I love it and its good pay for little time. I work as an Academic Director because it will help me obtain my dream job some day.

My dream job =

Full Tenured Professor or Dean of Academics.

I have one application in for a Dean’s position right now, in fact. I really want to work in higher education!
