wow! I am so glad I found this thread!

I was totally having second thoughts after spending ages staring at all pics of the 60+ dresses I tried on! I found it so hard to make a choice and then when I did I worried Id got it wrong! But finding this and seeing all the stunning pics has made me feel sooooo much better! I can’t wait for my Lorie to arrive so I can start alterations and make it mine!! 🙂

i am so glad I found this to. It has really helped cos I have been worrying about my dress for so long. I get married next July and bought my dress last January. I love everyone’s photos! I am now trying to get some accesories. Has anyone got any good links for bridal belts and also whether to wear a hoop or petticoat under the dress?? Any photos would help.

Thanks

Soph

Sophia14:  I bought a super pretty thin belt off etsy for my Lorie. It was perfect! So many compliments on it! I’ll send you a pic and link to their etsy

I have my first fitting October 11th. Has anyone sewed cups into the dress? I wanted to know your thoughts, and if you suggest doing so.

Danni331:  I personally don’t think this dress needs cups sewn in. I have a D cup and I was nervous about not wearing a bra..but once the seamstress fits the bust properly you definetily don’t need one!

geh:  I had a 2 point bustle, I think thats what it was called…where there was a tie for the satin layer and then a seperate tie for the lace part seperately so it flowed really beautifully. I have photos if you want to see.

I posted a picture of myself wearing the Lorie sample on a different thread and it’s getting mixed reviews.  This sample is a size 30, I wear a bridal 24/26.  I plan on wearing the cap sleeves with it.

Wondering what other Lorie brides think?

Sophia14:  I did not wear a petticoat.  I found it didn’t need one, the shape held itself.  🙂

Mrs.Vanilla:  When it fits you, it will look perfect!! I tried on a sz 18 sizes larger than the size I purchased.  When it came in it looked so much better, but still needed to be fitted…once it was fitted I loved my dress even more!!! I had doubts before it fit me properly!! So I totally understand, but rest assured it will look so so soooooooo good once it is your size and tailored to your body shape :):) Post pics when yours comes in!! I’d love to see it!
