I’m not sure if it’s a diamond or not but it’s super pretty!

@BrooklynWife:  unfortunately I don’t think we are all done being preached to about the precious wisdom that comes with age. Even after the million +’s

Ladies, this started or intended to be a fun thread.  Let’s keep it that way and stop poking at each other.

@[email protected] sheesh, quite the drama-filled thread.

Anyway OP, my vote would agree with @weddingbound that it appears (in the photos) to be a diamond setting with a cz center stone since it appears to be cloudy (it may just be a lower quality diamond or need a good cleaning, definitely take it to a jeweler)

My guess: the diamonds on the side are real diamonds, the center stone is CZ.

How can this all have unfolded while I was at work haha.

I’m think its a CZ in a gorgeous setting. I totally hope it’s a diamond though. Either way what a lovely gesture 🙂

@Mamalk85:  It isn’t so weird at all. Gold is yellow by nature, White Gold is yellow gold mixed with other metals that give it a whitish color (ex: zinc and nickel) but even with the metals added, white gold still has a yellowish cast. In order to get the bright white finish, white gold is dipped in RHODIUM. That’s what wears off, showing the white/yellowish gold underneath and requiring periodic replating. I do not wear white gold because I’m allergic to nickel but even if I did, I think I would find that replating process a huge bummer. It’s pretty though!

Pretty ring! In the first pic the center stone looks fake (as in not a real diamond) but in subsequent pics it has depth and sparkle. can’t wait for the update:)

Holy crap, who pissed in all your wheaties?

This is one of those moments that all these women are talking about when they post threads about drama. When a simple “no I dont think thats a diamond” turns into “OMG OF COURSE ITS REAL I CAN CLEARLY SEE IT OMG.”

Its freaking rude and childish, and you’re just making yourself look like an ass.

It’s a pretty ring no matter what! It’s incredible sweet that she thought to give it to you.
