We have an artificial tree that we use every year. Maybe if and when we have kids we might get a real one.

Fake. I’m too lazy to deal with a real one and have never had one. Not something I desire. Plus I’m allergic to trees so not something I want to chance.

We have an artificial one that is only a half tree – it doesn’t have 360 degrees of branches so you can push it close to the wall. Ideal while I’m currently in my tiny house! We’ll continue to use it when we’re in a bigger house (hopefully by next Christmas) as a second tree, as you need to use an artificial one approximately 30 times to be equal environmentally to a real one!

My fiancé’s family has a tradition of cutting down their own tree each year, so we’ve had a real tree the past two years that we’ve lived together. We actually got our tree today! I grew up with artificial trees and honestly prefer them because they come without the mess but I don’t feel very strongly one way or the other.

I’ve had a fake one for years. It’s easy to put up, not messy, and I don’t have to deal with watering and disposal. I much prefer that. My husband has forced me to get a real one this year. And what do  know?! He complained about gettin sap on his coat!  Hahahaha

Real! We get a permit to cut one down on BLM or national forest lands. It’s so fun going for a hike and finding the “perfect” one.

This year we have an artificial tree because we downsized while we save up to build our house. Every other year we’ve gotten a real tree though. I like the smell of real trees. I do like the shape of my artifical one though (it’s a slim one) and will probably continue to use it in the dining room or something once we do build.

We have an artificial tree but it’s not by preference! I LOVE real trees and would have one but our condo building doesn’t allow them so we can’t right now.

I am allergic to real trees, and the maintenance is a b*tch (who shimmies under there to water it?). Additionally, I really like unusual trees, like tinsel trees, white trees and alpine trees. Pre-lit doesn’t hurt, either! Because we put up four trees, I will stick to artificial.
