I recently commented on a poll posted regarding real vs fake flowers. At the time I was plannin to go fake so I can keep them forever. That was until I discovered Smokey Mountain Woodcrafts on Etsy. Her name is jennifer and her work is beautiful! Rustic charm is SO in right now and she adds elegance which is tough to pull off!
The best part? She uses real flowers that have already been preserved prior to arranging them! They don’t smell (which is a plus or a minus depending who you are) but they last forever. But they *look* real because they are! I was having a tough time with the fake florals because I was hunting for green and blue roses that looked natural. No easy task…but these *are* natural so I don’t need to worry that they are tacky! I’m so excited I had to share with other bees!
The prices aren’t bad either and she will work with you to fit your budget as best she can. I got five bridesmaid bouquets 6″ I think, my bouquet 8″ (I wanted smaller ones so that they didn’t over power the smaller girls or my dress) Five buttonholes (bouts) for groomsmen a buttonholoe for my honey bee and two mother’s corsages and an arrangement (to go atop this piano I am not allowed to move at the chapel) all for only $530. I would have paid slighty less around $5 a bouquet for silks but I thought it was worth it for real flowers that are preserved. I hope I’m not wrong on this! LOL Even if I am I don’t regret it because she does fantastic work!
Mine are totally custom made so I don’t have pics yet 🙁 I will post them when I get them. She said it wouldn’t be a problem to send me pictures as she completes the pieces (yay!) I can post the pictures that sold me on her work though! LOL We are doing a winter theme so…yeah actually there were two bouquets that I wanted to “marry” each other LOL
ETA that the price was including shipping and handling important to know when buying from afar!
