Good morning ladies!
Amongst the stresses of wedding planning, I find myself wondering about my nails. I know! Maybe I’ve gone over the edge. I’m just curious if you’re going “all naturel” or if you’re hunkering down and getting (or keeping) the acrylics?
Most of the year, I opt for the low maintenance acrylics, but take them off every once in a while to allow my nails to “breathe”. I’m really starting to like the natural look, but need my nails in picture perfect shape and just don’t know if they’ll be at the point before my wedding.
Are you using a solid color, a French/American manicure, designs? What?! Just want some input. Thank you ladies!!

think i’m going with my natural nails, squared off, in a light pink/ taupe-ish color. Keeping it simple! I got acrylics for my sister’s wedding and it was awkward holding the bouquet because i wasn’t used to having longer nails! ha! But whatever you are comfortable with I think is the way to go!

I don’t do fake nails except on very special occasions (like, 3 or 4 times in my life so far). Usually my natural nails are pretty nice and I rarely wear polish except a clear coat. However for the wedding I’ll probably do a short fake french manicure. I really like the look of french manicures, and I know with my luck if I tried to go with real nails then I would end up breaking half of them the day before the wedding, lol.

I did fake nails for prom in high school and I HATED them! Yes at first they were nice but then they would get really disgusting and I would just want them off! I am just going to do either a natural color or a french manicure. Ive been growing my nails out – they wont be as long as they would if I wore acrylics, but I dont really care because thats not who I am anyways! I wish I could grow long nails though!

I have meh nails to begin with. I wound up with last-minute acrylics because we did our own floral arrangements two days before the wedding (gorgeous, but 22 centerpieces + boutinnieres = REALLY bad hands/nails). If you’re doing any last-minute DIY projects, consider the toll it could take on your hands!

I went with acrylics because my nails broke a few weeks before the wedding. They simply wouldn’t stay long and strong so I gave in. That was in May. Um, I still have acrylics on. I’m addicted to the polished look they give me, but I go for American acrylics now, so they aren’t super white.

I have been using Nailtique to grow my nails out. It’s the stuff they use at the salon and it works wonders. I am going to do a french on my nails.

I did natural, with a very sheer pink on them. I just dont like the look or feel of acrylics on me. I posted a link awhile back with a new type of acrylic though, let me see if i can find it.

I will go with natural nails. And they will probably be very short and square with a sheer pink polish. I hate my hands so I won’t be taking any of the photographs featuring only my hands and rings.

I don’t like the look or feel of fake nails, so I’m going with my natural nails… most likely in a ballet pink or other neutral color.

My natural nails are pretty healthy and long. I keep them up with manis myself..same for my toes. So, of course I’ll continue to go natural. I am thinking that I will get them slightly squared with a french tip and a thin gold like between the white and clear and a rhinestone or two on certain nails.

I went with my natural nails and had them squared off with a french mani. I didn’t want to put acrylic nails on because they are high maintenance for me and since my natural nails are nice and healthy, I didn’t want to ruin them.

my dad’s a foot doctor… he tells me the crazy stuff that happens when people get fake nails and pedicures. (not that i didn’t get a mani and pedi for wedding day, but it’s the only time i’ve every done it!) still, my parents scared me away from ever getting fake nails because of the fungus and infections that can result… so i’d go natural. not worth it.
and i got light pink polish with sparkles. the lady really wanted to give me a french manicure when she heard it was for my wedding, but i love pink, so i wanted pink nails!
