CANNOT let this thread go by without mentioning Joshua Dwain’s work. His blog is an amazing resource for classy, gorgeous pictures of couples of colour.

tweds,

His work is amazing. I was actually also thinking of getting married at HU as I am an alum also, but we decided on a different location.

@andrea & hugrad – ๐Ÿ˜€ It’s so great to see other Howard grads on here…I look back on my time there so fondly. I’M SO GLAD ๐Ÿ˜‰ Are you both getting married in the D.C. area? The Howard Law school chapel is SO pretty!

@tweds I am getting married in the cheaseapeake bay in august. The Law school chapel is nice but has no AC and DC in August without AC is not a good look.

I’m still going through our wedding photos. We said we’d make an album by Christmas, but we think it’s going to be our first anniversary that we’ll have it ready by. Our photographer, Nisha Sondhe, is not only an awesome photog, but she’s my friend. She’s a portrait photog and offered to do our photos as a gift to us. We wanted a lot more candids than posed photos. (These are the only ones I have on my work computer) ๐Ÿ™‚

I love this thread. It really bothers me especially in the tri-state area that many photographers lack diversity in their work. I can understand in your middle America but for any major city I don’t get that. I have an appointment with a potential photogher whose work I love and is very diverse. I keep you guys posted once we have decided.
