I know, I know it feels like I am getting old fast– but I think it’s a little early for this!! lol
lmao!! Please tell me you are sending that back! way to go!!
Envelope is already sealed and in the mailbox. 🙂 It says all over it ‘coverage for your years past 50’…wtf??
LOL!
I have a friend who got an AARP card in the mail when we were about 23 years old. He kept it & everywhere we went, he DEMANDED his AARP discount. We got discoints at IHOP and Swense’s, even on oil changes at Jiffy Lube or somewhere like that. It was so funny!
@tootietoo2: WOW! They allowed that?! Although, I wouldn’t want to argue with someone about their age. Could these places that offer aarp discounts, request to see his driver’s license?
Haha don’t let that make you feel old. I get those things all the time in the mail, and I’m only 22, haha. Good for you though for sending it back to them with all that stuff written on it, haha.
@tootietoo2: that is so awesome I had to take the card off because it wouldnt fit back in the envelope… I’m gunna see if I can rack up some discounts lol
I’m 33 and I’ve been getting stuff every so often from AARP for many years, too. Strange!
Love what you wrote and that you sent it to them!! HaHa!
I’ve been getting AARP stuff for years, now. I’ve also received Medicaire information, brochures on power scooters, and other stuff — and it started when I was 21. I don’t even understand it!
lol same here!!! since i was about 21 too… maybe our names go into some “over 21” system and them assume we’re fair game??? SO WEIRD!
LOL well at least I am not alone… those crazy AARP people.. Im all for being prepared, but I don’t know if that flimsy little card will even last for the next 26-ish years for me to be able to use it when the time comes! hahaha
Good for you for writing on it and sending it back. I actually know a couple people who have received AARP cards addressed to their pets. Seriously?
As for the cards themselves, places that accept them do not ask for ID although they should.
LOL I felt insulted when I received this about a year ago. I’m glad that I am not the only one. haha
