I just had my bridal shower today and my sister and my friend did some really cute things that I want to share with you. I hope that those of you who have their bridal shower still ahead of you, or are throwing a bridal shower for someone, can use these ideas for them. They aren’t too complicated or pricey and really made my bridal shower elegant and special today.
Centerpieces: My sister bought the wine glasses that were on my registry and turned them into the centerpieces for the tables. You place the wine glasses upside down, put roses underneath (cut off the stems), and candles on top. I have 2 recommendations…use a colored rose so that they stand out. A couple tables had white and you couldn’t see them through the glass as well. Also, if you want the candles to burn the entire time, then you will want to use a candle that is a little bigger than the ones you see in the picture. Just a heads up, wax will drip onto the wine glasses. Don’t worry, all you have to do is put them in the freezer, let the wax get cold and the glass frost, and it will come right off. The room looked really nice with these centerpieces.
Dessert…Cake & Cupcakes:
The cake had 2 flavors and the cupcakes were a different flavor as well. This allowed a variety for everyone to choose from. Matching roses were used as the cake topper.
The cupcakes were just the perfect touch that tied everything together! The way the frosting is swirled matches the bottom layer of the cake. The blingy belt on the dress matches the top layer of the cake. And, of course, the fact that the cupcakes are in the shape of a bridal dress makes it perfect for a bridal shower! There’s even edible glitter at the bottom of the dress.
