I have no idea what you are commenting about, but yes, there are rules; some I agree with; others not so much; however, I can usually see the reasoning behind them.

Is there something specific you are referring to?

Does this have to do with anything about the sparkle shoes thread? I’m really interested to know if you happened to get in trouble for that.

I’d love to know what you are referring to.

@Koala Bear: What was “wrong” with the shoe thread?

@Everdeen: I’m in the same boat as you. So confused…

@Everdeen: She offered to help a bride DIY her shoes with sparkles and said to PM her for prices. So I’m guessing it looked like solicitation?

@Koala Bear: There didn’t seem to be anything very controversial on the sparkle shoe thread…am I missing something?

@Koala Bear: ohhh, i was thinking from the OP that it might have something to do with self-promotion. but i couldnt figure it out.  my guess is thats it.  that sux.

I really didn’t think it was a big deal at all and I would hate to think the OP would have gotten in trouble for that. It was more to help the bride out than anything else really.

I understand the not promoting a “business” but think it’s kinda crazy that you could get in trouble for saying/giving your personal help/ability… sigh =/

@dynamic_duo: Like it was done it the most subtle and politest way too, so I really wouldn’t see why anyone would flag it.  And I really hope they wouldn’t consider you mentioning about your veil would get you in trouble either.

I hope @FairytaleEnding: would come back and tell us what happened exactly.

@dynamic_duo: I mentioned that I have an extra gown to another bee when I first started and told her that she could contact me, if she was interested in me sending pictures. All she would have had to pay was shipping. I got in trouble for that. The only place you are allowed to mention something you have, free or not, service or not, it has to be put on the classifieds. It doesn’t matter if you are trying to be helpful or not.
