- Wedding: March 2013
We’ve had our guest list ready for weeks now. It’s 100 even. Perfect. The ceremony hall says it holds 100. Fiance did not want to invite his boss and his partner, and two co-workers (one of them with a +1).
And, now, two-days-ago, he declares he now wants to invite them. This would put us over five people. I had him inquire with some cousins who are Out of Town if their SO’s would join them, because usually at social and family events, they don’t. Of course this time, they would bring them.
I told Fiance to contact our venue to see if it’s 100 people fire safety and code or 100 seats. If it’s the latter, then we can get around this addition because 10 people will be standing. If it’s the former, well, it’s time for a chat.
We have a few people we didn’t contact for addresses we could remove from the list (since removing those we asked addresses for would be tacky!) to add his new guests, but I don’t want us to remove them, because they are our friends. Fiance said not everyone Out of Town will come, so I then educated him on the “but you never know, it’s our wedding and they may make the trip!”
Just needed to get this off my chest.
Has your Fiance ever come back with more guests he originally didn’t want?
