@mrsrigsby60:  Firstly, I’m sorry your friends deserted you with regard to your first marriage. That’s hard.

Secondly. Your wedding sounds LOVELY. I wanted to do similar, but FIs family are Mormon, and therefore an event based on tea seems a little harsh. They are all lovely though, and would have supported us if we had chosen that route. Your filo chicken pastries sound amazing. I’m 27, btw (I may not be the best judge though. Afternoon tea is an essential meal for me – something Fiance mocks me mercilessly for!)

Your wedding sounds very similar to what I want to have. SO and I are going for an afternoon garden party with brunch, cards, dominoes, and lawn games. We are 22 and don’t go clubbing or drinking. SO really doesn’t want to have alcohol at all even though we do drink (there are a bunch of alcoholics in the family). My father is demanding that we have a keg of sprecher rootbeer (‘it’s just so good on tap”) instead which we are totally down with.
