Well, would you rather find a new vendor with purple floralytes, or use the white ones? You only have 18 days to work this out, and since they are already out of purple ones, you either need to find them somewhere else and get a refund, or use the white ones. Can you dye them? That’s probably a stupid question, but dye is easy to get and you could always try it if you were planning on keeping them anyway.

Did you pay by credit card or paypal? You can dispute your charge through them and get it taken off if they refuse to give you a full refund. Sorry you’re in this situation, good luck!!

So sorry you are going through this! You should definitely see about filing a dispuite with your credit card/paypal. Also, I would let them know that I am an active member on several popular wedding websites and that my reviews for this vendor will reflect the lack of customer service I experienced unless they fix this ASAP. Sometimes a little bit of free bad publicity goes a long way & if they want to avoid that, they should get on the stick.

Good luck & I hope you find your purple ones in time.

That is brutal!  They have some seriously terrible customer service.  Hopefully the general manager calls you back, but I’m with you on this one and think he probably won’t.  Let’s give him the benefit of the doubt for now.

In terms of what you can do…18 days out is tough!  Can you make it work with the white lights?  At least white will not look out of place compared to another colored light.  Do you have other purple in your centerpieces (or can you add some purple in) to really bring focus to the purple as opposed to the white of the lights?

I think you can make these work, even if they are not what you originally envisioned.  I probably wouldn’t want to deal with the hassle of getting purple ones at this point since they seem so unwilling to be helpful.  I would, however, take the refund they are offering – even with paying shipping you still get them for super cheap!  I hope this works out for you!

Wow!! How lame! What a pain for you with such little time to fix their situation. I would definitely report their business, tell them you will give them a bad review AND demand a refund on the shipping as well. Not cool!

As for the centerpieces, try to dye them or mix them up with something else purple. Soo sorry you have to go through this!!

Best of luck!

Sooo sorry you are going though this!

Have you thought about using purple tinted water?  I know this doesn’t solve the issue with the vendor… however, you only have less than three weeks for this to be resolved.  So, if you can’t find another vendor with purple floralites, this may be a solution.

In the meantime, some other vendors to suggest:

I would wait to see if the Groomsmen calls back and tell him you are planning on disputing the charge through your credit card company (if that’s how you paid). Try to stay calm while you’re speaking with him (if he even calls you back).

If he doesn’t call you back, dispute the charge and just search for a substitute. Did you check save-on-crafts . com? Unless that’s the vendor you’re having a problem with…

yes tint your water purple with food coloring.  It will still look great.

If you decide to go the purple tinted water route, you should still try to get like 25% credit or something. They should give you something for dealing with their crappy customer service.

Also, is the price of the white ones the same as the purple ones?

if you decide to tint it you should still try and get your money back. Contact the BBB if you have to.  And write a bunch of reviews about the company so others dont buy from there.

I was also going to suggest using purple food coloring.

I think you’re entitled to some compensation, but at this point, save yourself the stress and start playing with food color and water – deal with the customer service after the wedding, or delegate it to someone else with less on their plate!
