I’m totally confused. So if you’re having an event Friday or Saturday it’s (let’s say for example) $20 for the bar package. If you’re having an event Sunday through Thursday, it’s $16 per person. According to my calendar you’re having a Sunday wedding and they want to charge you the full rate and not the $4 reduced rate? Is that correct?

Is your wedding on a Sunday through Thursday? If so, the lowered rate should apply. The chair cover issue seems pretty common. Our venue wanted $4. for each plus $1.00 per chair to tie on the sashes, but I provided my own and our volunteers did the tying.

@kingytobe: The bar thing sounds sketchy, but as far as the $4.00 chair rental goes, I would find out how much they do for you.  If you brought your own $1.00 chair covers, you’d probably have to iron them before hand to get out the package creases, set them up yourself, and then take them down and wash them (and possibly re-iron them if you wanted to sell them).

I rented chair covers/sashes from an outside rental company for 2.50 each and just had to do setup/take down myself.
