haha ME TOO My engagment pics were reassuring, but gez, everyone is super model pretty on their wedding day! i feel like i will look like a goof in my dress instead of a hottie patottie! My fiance told me to splurge on hair and make up if it would help ease my worries….so hopefully that will help!

Um well I’m tall and pretty slim…but that doesn’t stop me from worrying about my looks on my wedding day! I think we all worry about that, because we want to look our best! Also, every bride I have seen is beautiful. The dress and happiness are sure to make everyone pretty. So you’ll be gorgeous, don’t worry! πŸ™‚

I’m terrified about this. I’m incredibly unphotogenic, and I’m afraid that no ammount of makeup, corsetry and skilled photography is going to fix it πŸ™

I felt like on my wedding day the makeup artist didn’t put enough eye makeup on me (of course I could have asked for more, but I didn’t) so I worried I looked too plain. Every time I looked in the mirror, I thought “this all looks great but I wish my eyes weren’t so darn plain.”

But looking at the pictures, I realize that the PPs are right — if nothing else, your happiness will shine through and you’ll look gorgeous no matter what!!!

See, even putting on earrings I couldn’t stop smiling πŸ™‚  The only way to look bad on your wedding day is to not be happy enough!!!

I’m sorry, but from the little tiny square of a profile avatar you have, I have to say you are  beautiful.  It looks like you have amazing skin, and your smile is gorgeous!

I love your hair color too!  Please don’t stress!

What is your best feature? Play that baby up on your wedding day!  If you have nice eyes, I say to wear great statement earrings if you haven’t already picked them.  If you love your smile, neck, chest area, wear a statement necklace!

Also, highlight your best feature, (ie; eyes, lips, facial structure) If you love your eyes, go light on the lips, dark(er) on the eyes..  and vice versa if you’re confident in your smile!

You’re going to look amazing, everyone feels that way…I’m actually so nervous about my pictures, i’m such a pic person, but having someone else (photog) be incharge of how they will turn out scares me, I warned her that i’ve always had my “SIDE” which I like to have my left side of my face showing more than my right…but I don’t want it to be all posey..

everyone has their thing, you’ll be great!

Truthfully, I didnt think I looked pretty at my wedding. My skin texture was rough because I was stressed and fighting breakouts the week before, and I just didnt feel all that attractive. I liked my hair, but not at first…after the tight curls fell down I felt like I looked much better. My Darling Husband laughed at me later because he knew I would say I didnt feel pretty because I never feel pretty!

The good thing is, I had a wonderful time and had fun. Although I look at my pictures and dont see “beautiful bride”…everyone else does so I guess that’s all that matters. And Darling Husband still married me so I guess I was not that bad.

I totally get where you are coming from.

I’m of the opinion that all brides look pretty on their wedding day.  You’re wearing a pretty dress, and you’re marrying someone you love.  Happiness just emanates from you and it’s on display for everyone to see.  You will be beautiful on your big day!

I am so worried about this!  I am overweight and not photogenic AT ALL.  Our engagement pictueres- both sets- were AWFUL.

To add to that, I feel like on my wedding day I am going to be so stressed out about everything being “right” (even though we have a wedding planner) and be pissed off that our families are annoying me that I won’t be able to enjoy myself.  Not to mention, I am going to be very tired because I don’t sleep well when I am anxious.

Although I’m sorry you feel this way, I am so relieved I am not the only one.

I don’t photograph well, and we just got our engagement pictures back and I don’t know how I feel about them. I gained like 25 lbs since Fiance and I met, and while I’ve lost about 12 of them, I still don’t feel right. *sigh* I’m really worried about the wedding photos πŸ™

@amandasf:  I think everyone is more critical of themselves than anybody else is.  I rarely like any pictures of myself.  I haven’t gotten my professional photos back yet, but in the ones people gave to me that they took, I look SO HAPPY!  Sure – I make some strange faces, and there are some unflattering angles, but I honestly don’t even notice those things.  Also, I am as Type A as they come – and I did not sleep more than 2 hours the night before my wedding.  Didn’t matter.  Somehow you just get super energized.  And for being as Type A as I am, take it from me – you just won’t care about every little detail on the big day.  I know it’s hard to imagine it, but it’s the truth.  Your families won’t annoy you – you’ll be on cloud 9.

@MeeshelleMyBelle:  I felt the same way. I usually hate about 90% (or more) of pictures that I am in. I have gained weight over the past few years and although I lost a little for the wedding it wasn’t nearly enough to make me feel happy and comfortable. I was beyond pleased when my photographer posted my sneak peak last week. Yes, there are still photos that I feel I looked horrible in but, overall I was surprisingly pleased. I think we are out own worst critics and you just have to rest assure that you will look amazing. I think no matter what someone actually looks like, the glow and happiness on a bride on her wedding day is something that no amount of physical beauty can touch.
