Hi! Looking for some advice re: catering. We are getting married at the Ocean Institute in Dana Point in 2012 and we have to work with an approved vendor for the catering. As such, I’m trying to figure out what is a reasonable amount per person for food and/or bar? At this point, I’m probably going with plated. Thanks!

I’m in Chicago & am paying 50.00 pp for plated dinner with top shelf open bar. This is extrememly cheap for this area however…and it seems that the average is about 75.00 pp for the same.
oh and we are having petit filet mignon with grilled shrimp or stuffed chicken breast
