Good information.

I work at an early childcare center and the one MAJOR thing I’ve learned is to never have ANYTHING in a crib when you put a baby in there. A matteress with a fitted sheet is all you need, everything else is unnecessary. Baby crib sets are cute and everything but its amazing how dangerous they are! We have parents come in a lot and ask why there kid doesn’t have a blanket on them…well they don’t feel cold since we keep the room at a modest temp and its SAFER!

It’s also a rule at our center that we CANNOT use anything that says “helps prevent SIDS”

Wonderful post MS!  We ditched our sleep positioner as soon as the little Night Dragon could inch downward.

Within the past 2 weeks, I got 2 of these as hand-me-downs (slightly different variations) and immediately questioned the purpose, effectiveness, and  SIDS factor.  2 sets of friends- swore by it but I’d just rather not. They will go to Goodwill or more likely, the garbage. Thanks for posting.

Please don’t give these things to the Goodwill. Something that is a danger to your baby poses the same risk  to someone who may not have read or heard about the warnings.
