- Wedding: August 2012 - Sunset Harbour
All these photos are from the day before the big day…..
I was a complete mess Friday. Felt sick to my stomach, worried about all the stupid details. I couldn’t sit still and I was having an internal temper tandrum from the lack of sleep. Team Bride said I was calm and lovely though……pretty sure they were lying. 😛
Friday morning we went and got our nails done. One member of Team Bride was missing, and my mother joined us as well as one bridesmaids sister who I love to death.
Even the Dude of Honor was getting his nails done!! I heart my brother!
Meanwhile…..our lovely little flower girl was getting her own hair trial for the next day…..
Not shown in pics – in between nails and the reheasal, I had one of my poor bridesmaids have her husband drive all over the place trying to find umbrellas as they were still calling for rain on our wedding day! He was so sweet about the whole thing, and every member of Team Bride told me to sit back and let them handle the last minute run around.
I had our bridal party and those family members who would be playing the trumpets for us the next day come early and help assemble centerpieces and a whole mess of other things….
Then it was time for the rehearsal!!! While we were working on getting everything arranged, my officiant and the matradee were having a power struggle and bickering back and forth. Awkward!!!!
Then it was time for dinner and relaxing!!! Thankfully our venue has a great tiki bar on site so we just moved over there for dinner! It waqs very yummy and then we could give out gifts to everyone!!
Popcorn and fandango gift cards to our trumpet players…..
Flower girl gifts!!!
She loved it so much she wanted it put together right away haha!!
Bridal Party Gifts (detailed post on what was in them HERE!)
Groom Momma Gift – we got her a travel bag and a gift card for a round trip flight to visit us since she lives so far away….
And finally my own parents. Read all about my big surprise for them and why HERE!
First I told them to open the card last. So they saw the shirts first….
“I Survived My Daughters Wedding”
And then they opened the card……
And saw the cruise documents…..
Fiance and I exhanged gifts too…..I got him a whompa rug that I swore he would never be allowed to have, and he got me a giant floppy hat because I looove them (but he had another gift for me that I’ll show later, and I gave him the bodoir shoot album on our wedding night!)
Then there was cake and Fiance and I had a shot from a bottle of whiskey that was purchased to celebrate my maternal grandparents wedding….
By then it was late enough that the out of towners and other guests that we had invited to join us for karaoke arrived and there was much singing and awesomeness into the night……
And then it was time to head home because we all needed sleep for an early start!!!!!
