- Wedding: December 2014
So no this isn’t a recap of my wedding but I just thought I would share a little bit of what happened at a wedding I went to this weekend….
Now don’t get me wrong to each is their own, but really some of the things at this wedding were just… well in my view not ok to do at a wedding. Both on guests part and some on the bride and groom.
So Fiance and I arrived at the wedding at about 3:30 the invite said ceremony starts at 4:00. Well after driving and finding it, since no address was on the invite only the town and road the wedding was on. We realized we were two of about 15 people there. (hello people where were you) So after waiting and waiting at about 3:55 some other people showed up. Out of about 85 people who were suppose to be there I counted 37 people not including the wedding party. (not ok in my book)
The groom and all his gm showed up to the ceremony 45 minutes late and pretty hammered…. they had to pull over because they forgot the tap to the keg and weren’t sure if they should just turn around and go get it since they were already late (they didn’t the brides uncle had to go during dinner to fetch it and to buy wine since the bm’s forgot it) the bride showed up about 25 minutes late. They had no doc and the officiant had to take control since there was no rehersal the night before so nobody knew how they were walking until they started walking down the aisle. Mind you the groom and gm were still putting on their boutinerres while the girls started walking down the aisle.
After the ceremony the dj who was also in the wp started telling tables to go get food before the head table, again the officiant had to step in and take control. Nobody knew the wedding was byob because the groom sent out a text two days before the wedding informing everyone.
So we’ll fast forward to after dinner, lets just say the groom was the first to do a keg stand, followed by his father who did one for so long her almost puked after and then knocked over the gift table, and last but not least the bride did a keg stand dress and all, and infront of their two young children. Speaking of which nobody watched the two little kids even though the wedding was right next to a lake and on more than one occasion Fiance or others from our table had to chase after them from running towards the water. The bride at one point fanned out a gift of money given to them and ran around showing everyone.
By the time Fiance and I left which was at about 8 there was only about 10 guests and the wedding party left. So the bride and groom and their wedding party decided to end the night at the local strip club in their dresses and tuxs!
Now don’t get me wrong if that was her dream wedding I’m glad she had it, but as a guest it was rather uncomfortbale to be there, and imho why would you want to start off your marriage in your wedding dress in a strip club!!!!!!!!
