- Wedding: November 2016
Hi bee’s, so I’ve not really been on much since our wedding but thought I would come and have a peek back at what’s going on on the Bee and update you with photo’s of our wedding!
We had an amazing day! We were so lucky with the weather, it was a little frosty in the morning but that soon went and we had a crisp but sunny November day that was just warm enough. (I think about 9 degrees) And no rain which is always likely in the autumn/winter in the UK so we were lucky!
I honestly thought I’d be so nervous, like shaking etc when walking down the aisle but like so many people have said before and even while getting ready…yes I was nervous but I was happy, happy to be getting married to my now husband. I had a much calmer feeling over me than I could of imagined apart from one part of the morning (I’ll explain later) It’s crazy how quick the ceremony fly’s by and we both just had such a feeling of content and happiness throughout it! I really have a massive grin in so many photo’s! We were beaming!
Some of you may remember my husbands Dad couldn’t come as he was very ill in a hospital a few hours away which was a very emotional time for us all. He got admitted a month before the wedding which was around the same time my Nan passed away so it was a hard time for us all. My husbands dad ended up staying in hospital for 3 months before going home. So a friend very kindly facetimed him during the ceremony so he could watch it from his hospital bed which was very touching.
Then we had some photo’s in the grounds of the church after and then travelled in the car to the reception venue. And I so needed that glass of champagne in the car on the way back, I had such a dry mouth hahahaha, it did just the trick!
More photo’s at the reception venue before sitting down to eat our gorgeous food and hear our amazing speeches! Then it was time to relax and party! And we really partied! The disco ended at 1am and we could of carried on for a few more hours dancing! We did not want it to end it was just fantastic! Lot’s of people said they had such a fun time! Then it was back to our bridal suite for fun times What a day!
The only part that went a bit wrong was that we arrived at the church later than planned. But after the wedding I remembered all the little factors which don’t sound like much but on the morning of a wedding when you and 3 bridesmaids are getting ready, every minute counts. So the hot water in the shower went off after 2 of us had had a shower, so we had to wait a while for it to heat up again before the other 2 had a shower. The hotel had forgot to unlock the front door on the morning so the MUA was stood outside for 15 minutes knocking on the door before someone heard and let her in (there is no phone reception at the hotel as it’s right in the countryside otherwise she’d of rang) so all that along with the fact the bride is always a little late made for us being about 30 minutes late…. so that was the eurgh part of the day but as soon as I walked down the aisle all that melted away!
So I think I will post this and then upload some photo’s in a minute!
