- Wedding: October 2016
Putting up some wedding decor for sale today made me realize I never posted a recap of our October wedding! We got married the weekend hurricane Matthew came through the US. We were far enough inland that we were pretty sure we wouldn’t get full on hurricane, but we did end up with 50 MPH winds (lots of fun with a long veil lol!). It rained the whole day before, and was overcast until about an hour before the ceremony. Little things went wrong, as they always will, but I married the love of the life and we were surrounded by our friends and family, what more could we want? Here are some of the details for our wonderful day!
This cross was made by my dad, from a cedar tree they cut down on their dream property they bought a few years ago 🙂
My mom’s pearls. The earrings were bought by my husband as my wedding gift (I bought him a watch which he also wore on our wedding)
Bough these shoes at a local store going for maximum comfort! Decided to bling them out myself and was very happy with the results!
Loved my hair and it held up great all night!
We read letters to one another during the ceremony, neither one knew what the other was going to say (somehow I didn’t ugly cry through this)
What makes this picture even funnier is our guests were supposed to inside for their cocktail hour, but the coordinator decided to do cocktail house outside on the patio. So literally everyone is seeing this happening and cheering me on to swing the club and we are laughing our butts off
Cheers! (They forgot to tell Maid/Matron of Honor and I it was a sipping scotch…we downed the whole thing and shared the most memorable look of disgust while everyone else was laughing)
My mom did all of the reception centerpieces
Painted this sign myself with help from some stencils cause my handwriting is awful
My favorite Etsy purchase! (They got taken back out for our NYE toast)
The glow Sticks were a hit lol!
Thank you all for all your help through the process bees!!
