- Wedding: June 2015
So I’ve debated for a couple of weeks posting this recap, so here it finally is! I wanted to share some of the details that so many of you helped out with!
I can honestly say that our wedding was the very best day. It sounds so cliche, but it’s so true. I had such high expectations and everything about our wedding exceeded those expectations (despite the crazy rain!) I can’t even tell all of you brides-to-be how amazing it is to celebrate the beginning of your life with your spouse surrounded by all of your friends and family. I didn’t cry walking down the aisle, but right before while I was in the back of the church I was so overwhelmed with good feelings that I definitely couldn’t stop crying!
Oh, and my best advice for all of you engaged bees? It’s the same advice so many others gave to me – take a moment with your new spouse and just soak it all in. We did this during dinner — we sat back and watched everyone we love having a wonderful time and it was such a special moment. I’ll never forget it!
On to the photos!:
The morning of the wedding one of my BMs snapped a photo of my hair while she was still working on it, but you get the idea:
This is my bouquet in the hotel room before the wedding. It was huge and so heavy! The flowers next to it were for our moms 🙂
These are the bridesmaid bouquets:
This is the car we rode to the church in:
I don’t think I have any good photos from the church quite yet but here are some of our favs from the reception!:
Entry/escort card table:
We only have a couple photos from cocktail hour (apparently everyone was too busy eating!)
(Note: Our band was AMAZING! If you’re in the Philly area, reach out to me because I can’t recommend them enough. Everyone danced all night long! DH has insisted that his favorite part of the entire night was the moment we were finished our first dance because everyone literally rushed to the dance floor like they couldn’t wait any longer. We’d never seen anything like it! The first salad course hadn’t even been served yet!)
View from the venue:
Dinner menus and table settings (The food was AMAZING!):
Some of our centerpieces (I honestly can’t say enough nice things about our florist!):
Our cake (I seriously LOVED our cake!!):
I think this photo was taken right after my dance with my dad:
This is our first dance (There are rose petals on the floor because we had a rose petal canon shoot off a ton of rose petals when we entered the reception!):
Our cake cutting:
That’s everything for now! We can’t wait to see all of our pro pics, though!
Thank you ALL for every bit of help and support you’ve provided over the past two years. I’m so thrilled to be married but also a little sad the wedding is over. It really was so much fun! I’m so very excited for all of you that are still looking forward to your weddings — They will all be beautiful and you will all love being married! xo.
