One of my favorite aspects of planning my wedding was all the DIY projects. When I walked into my reception, I felt like it was a little touch of us all over. We worked so hard and it all paid off.
I was super excited to see my net on the DIY friday’s post today! Here she is again…
We scoured every food lion in the city for Jones Soda’s in green and pink. We cleaned them out. Seriously… they still don’t have any…
The labels we made on our own using magazine type paper and stuck them on with a tape runner. Easy peazy.
My table numbers served double duty as buffet menus. I just printed them on ivory cardstock, used a circle cutter for the numbers and glued them together.
These were part of my bridesmaids gifts, i ordered these bags for $2 a piece on GOTAPPAREL.com and ironed on each name.
Centerpieces for dinner…
and cocktail hour.
Programs. I heart them. Simple.
Seating chart. It seemed so much easier than escort cards!
Besides all the DIY details, the photographers got some great shots of everything else…

Wow! You’ve totally inspired me to be able to do all my DIYs and have an amazing wedding. What a beautiful wedding!
Question: did you DIY your bouquets, too? If so, how did your hydrangeas hold up (I think those are hydrangeas in there) during the wedding? I want to DIY my own hydrangea bouquets, but I’ve heard so many stories on both sides, that I don’t know what to do now.

Wow. These are fantastic! I have zero arts and crafts skills and a lack of creativity to match it, so I’m amazed at anyone that can do this kind of stuff.

@buttontoes: No. Our coordinator/florist did them. She did so awesome. I originally asked for mostly white/pink hydrangeas but I think it might have been a little early and so the colors were all half green, but green is one of our colors so it worked out great!
The flowers held up really well. We kept them in their vases til right before we walked down the aisle. She bunched them so tightly that not a single flower budged. We used pink tea roses with the green berries for the guys because gerbera’s nor hydrangeas work well for bouts.
Good luck though!!
