Do you or any family members have any connection to a parish in the city where you want to be married? If it’s the childhood parish of one of you, for instance, or if your grandparents are/were members, etc., that can help you get your foot in the door.

Beyond that, just start asking around. Parishes have different policies: some make it very difficult for non-members to marry there, others allow it (often for a higher fee than what members pay.) Also, if you can get past the parish secretary and talk directly to the pastor, you often have more success.
