How do you keep track of your money, if you do? Are you a receipt keeper, or do you use only online banking to keep track of spending?
I keep all receipts in case. I usually double check our transactions (I have caught mistakes!) and then also for returns. I hate having to search through purse, pockets and garbage for return receipts.
But I subscribe to paperless statements for my credit cards and bills. Saves the environment a little (though I”m related to some postal workers who feel that choice)
how bout you?

i used to rely on online banking but then i got dinged with a few too many overdraft fees because people would take forever to cash my checks. so now i keep my check register updated with my receipts and double check my online banking statement. that way i ALWAYS know exactly how much money i have. and now i don’t get anymore overdraft fees!

I wish I did this. I’m pretty careful about my spending but terrible at paperwork.

Wait, what is this “keeping track of money” that you speak of?
Ha. I use online banking, but man…

I use Quicken to organize all my financial accounts– it can update directly from my online banking, and I can pull reports about where we’re spending our money. Love it.
Have any of you tried Mint.com? I’ve heard some great reviews of it.

I actually keep my receipts and compare them to my online account, then toss the receipts.

I use the Moneywell Application Fiance bought for the mac. It helps you create a budget and then you enter your paychecks, savings interest, and purchases into it. It does help us manage our money, but I do have issues with it. Money tracking is difficult business!
