I’d be kinda ticked if I got a quickie thank you card. I put a LOT of time into writing ours out and making each personalized. They were lovely, lol.
I had a lot of people assuming they were invited but I just kinda ignored them and when invites went out, and they didn’t receive one, they got the picture.

I’d be angry I gave them a gift and they couldn’t bother to give me a proper thank you. UGH.

I may be in the minority but I don’t care if I receive a personalized thank you card or not. I went to a wedding in July and I don’t remember EVER even receiving a thank you card at all. I don’t think I’ve ever received a ‘thank you’ card that had something personalized handwritten in it. It doesn’t bother me. Life is too short for me to get mad over something that minor.
however, this doesn’t mean mine won’t be personalized since my day hasn’t come yet! I know I don’t think I want to do the photo thank you cards.

I will be hand writing my thank you cards after my wedding, I also hand wrote my thank you cards for my bridal shower and engagement party.
However, getting a printed mass produced thank you card from someone else doesn’t bother me at all. I appreciate getting a thank you card, so anyway the couple/person decides to send them is fine with me.

@OnceUponATime: It was not a fun time but I wanted to get them out and personalizing each one was important to me.

Things that you find small may not be small to others. Instead dwell on the positive.

At least you GOT a thank you. It seems i was forgotten about at a friends wedding 2 years ago and never got a thank you. And i still have yet to receive thank yous from the 2 weddings we attended this summer. Needless to say i’m PISSED.

@gelaine22: I agree, it wouldn’t bother me. I have bigger things to worry about. It’s like you’re saying the thought to send out a thank you card wasn’t good enough. At least they sent one.
people expect too much.

While I absolutely appreciate a nice, personal, hand written thank you note, getting the generic picture thank yous desn’t upset me. It especially wouldn’t upset me if I barely knew the sender.
