Definitely leave a review here.  Who cares if it’s awkward – they made this awkward by not answering you.  The first thing a good business does is apologize in situations like this, even if it’s apologizing for your feelings.

I can’t believe their response! I would let them know that you would like to have additional photos asap, or that you’ll be letting people know your honest review of your experience with them.

I have an extensive shot list for our wedding that I’m still drafting. We increased our budget for our photographers. If I didn’t get a photo on my shot list (like me and my dad or whatever) I would be crushed. I hope they send you additional photos.

Ask them for a partial refund.  Copy sections from previous emails/texts if you have them, in which you ask for the photos you missed or what you expected.

HeartsandSparkles:  I don’t know what the end result of this situation was (I am really sorry, that is super shitty!), but I would threaten to write a bad review if they don’t actually send the photos you request. threatening to write bad reviews can do wonders, especially on Wedding Bee. 

At the end of the day, their disclaimer made you trust them, and it seems they dropped the ball on your wedding. They made it sound like they didn’t need a list because they have experience. Well you are missing SO MANY shots!! Its not just a mild dissapointment. As a business, how are they going to make amends with an unsatisfied customer? Thats on them.

HeartsandSparkles:  I would definitely talk to them in the exact way you’re talking to us.  Express your frustation and sadness (don’t get mean or nasty) just be honest with them.  If they are good professional photographers they’ll work with you and maybe discount the price for you.

I’ve had the same issue! I actually posted on another thread about how to approach the photographer appropriately.

I’ll be honest, the “just get over it” response from people is probably the most frustrating thing to me. We have the capability to stage photos and try to recreate them to make ourselves happy. Why not!? I’m doing it but just wanted guidance on the best approach with the photographer rather than pointing fingers.
