Wow! Who is this person (family? a friend of yours? family friend?). If it were one of my or my fiance’s guests, I would be hurt. If it were one of my FMIL’s MANY MANY friends she insisted we invite (even though she’s not paying), I’d be relieved.

Geez… maybe they thought it was funny…. it sounds kinda lame in my opinion lol. I guess I really wouldnt want someone with that kinda attitude at my wedding anyway!

Bahahaha. Wow. I hope it’s a senile granny. Don’t hold your breath for that $10 check.

@AisforAmanda: I think its just funny. I dont really think its rude. The handwriting does look like its of an older person.

Wow I would be a little stunned to see that too! Hopefully they meant that as a little touch of humor. Even if they didn’t it’s still a little funny for me. If my Grandma weren’t around I can see my Grandpa sending something like that in the mail.

ok phew,  i totally misunderstood the reply at first and thought by “too old” they meant YOU were too old to get married, so they weren’t gonna come!!!

after reading thru, i see they meant THEY are too old to go out to a wedding and that makes the whole thing kinda funny!  a little rude, but clearly they were just trying to be funny!
