I’ve been receiving my RSVPs for about 2 weeks now. They seem to slowly be trickling in. But I’m becoming a little peeved…at first I didn’t really mind but the more that come in the more I’m starting to freak. So I addressed my invites to the friends and family, added spouses and only added those who were engaged or their SO I personally knew. I only added childrens names to those invites that I really wanted to be there. (my neices and a few cousins)
I’m receiving RSVPs with girlfriends, boyfriends, children that invites were not addressed to. I’m afraid we are going to have way more people than anticipated because of this. Have any of you bees had similar circumstances and how did you handle it?

I’ve seen other threads about this issue … you definitely are NOT the only one! People can be so clueless sometimes. And by clueless, I mean rude and thoughtless.
By the sounds of it you were quite clear about who exactly the invitation was for. If people are RSVPing for people who are not invited, then you get the exciting task of calling them and informing them that all invitations do not automatically include a +1! I know that sounds like a horrible task, but otherwise you’re going to double your guest list with people you don’t know and didn’t invite. Better to bite the bullet now than pay the $80 or whatever it costs to feed and booze them up and be bitter later.

i would call or have someone close to you call and tell those people that due to guest list size contraints you are not able to accomodate the extra people….. sorry
