I’m in the midst of wedding saving and I’ve been doing a really good job but this week… whew, I went a little crazy with the spending!!
-First, I was at Madewell getting a gift card and I saw this cute top on sale. It was $108 originally, I picked it up for $26. My first Madewell purchase! Necessary? Nope!
-Second, we’re big Giants baseball fans and we saw that Sunday’s game had a bobblehead commemerating a game we were at last year where there was an in the park home run and well… we had to go! We got GREAT seats, but still… $136 later… Necessary? Definitely not!!
-Third, I was at the gym today and saw they were having a sale on Fitbits. I’ve been wanting a Fitbit FOREVER and the Flex was 25% off… I couldn’t help myself… $75 later….good god, I need to get a grip!!
I am now on a spending freeze! No more treats until AFTER the wedding. How about you all? Any recent unnecessary purchases?

- Wedding: April 2016 - Gorse Hill, Surrey, UK
I really WANT to go on a splurge, but I’m making myself sit on my hands until we have saved up somre more money for the wedding. it’s my birthday in just over a week, so hopefully that will scratch the itch for a while.
And it’s not like I even need anything, i just want to go shopping!

I work in the city a block from Saks and every other great store including a huge Zara, Gucci, LV, etc. I make an unnecessary purchase at least once a week! Lol. Oh well

ohmariemarie: Darling Husband and I just bought a house, so we’re in a spending freeze right now also…! But I did just buy two Kate Spade Wallets and a ton of nail polish… but that’s it until we close in September…! We have to go home for a wedding and a Baptism at the beginning of August, so we’re going to have to be on our best behaviour not to overspend while we’re gone!
Sometimes you do need to do a little something for yourself though… 🙂

I’m still in the middle of my splurge lol! I just bought a Robert Matthew wallet that you can fit your cell phone in. It was $149. I got it to go with the Michael Kors purse I’m going to buy tomorrow! The purse is $298. I need a new purse for the fall/winter. I bought a nice new long black winter coat at the end of the winter & I think these will look really nice with it!

I bought three Gucci purses the day after Fiance bought one. I got the same version he got, but in leather. They were great deals though. I think we got all four for less than $500.

We just bought a house, and are wedding saving. So all spare income should go to the house maintenance and savings.
I bought a Clarisonic Mia2 and $175 and 1 month later, I’m convinced it’s the best purchase I’ve made all year.
Next splurge is going to be about $100-150 in materials for some house DIY decor.

countingstars: where did you get four gucci purses for $500?! I’ve been eyeing a few vintage ones and they’re all over $1k even for the smallest sizes.

Frye boots $175.
Michael Kors purse $265 BUT I returned a more expensive purse my husband gave me for my birthday and another $50 gift from my mom, so really it’s like I made money on that one.
Random crap at Target $60

bkrocks13: I got them from a local liquidation store. They are all brand new and authentic.
My Fiance has been splurging a lot on paintball gear and gaming. He spent $1,000 in 3 weeks on guns and parts, etc. Men.

RunnerBride13: Love the logic how you made money on the purse! Sounds like a good deal 🙂

Justbrynne: OMG you reminded me how badly I want a Clairsonic. My chin has been acting like a fool recently. Maybe for my birthday in September… that’s a reasonable time to splurge, right!?

I’m turning thirty in a few days. I bought myself an antique 2 carat diamond dome ring. Oops. I only turn 30 once.
