Looks good to me…Too big for who? Yourself? You’re worried about too showy…You think your friends/family will think it’s showy? Their opinion shouldn’t matter. And anyone with etiquette will say “beautiful! Congrats”….Congrats by the way 😉

Actually I think it’s quite modest, especially with the plain band. It looks nice on you. Congrats!

I think the size of the stone is good. If you notice that it catches on things, or it bothers you because you are active, etc…you can always change the setting! (like a bezel)

I think it’s a pretty ring!

It is really pretty, and the simple solitaire setting prevents it from being too flashy for your aesthetic – no worries!

I think it’s perfectly fine!!  I’m a very “classic” girl myself who likes to wear jeans, tees, tanks regularly.  My husband got me a very classic ring with the center stone at just under 1.75 carats and I have a size 4 1/2 ring.  It’s all about taste, but I think it’s perfect.  I think your ring is gorgeous and doesn’t overpower your finger or hand at all!

You’re too cute! I think it looks lovely! But I’m biased – my ring is very similar to yours. Ultimately, though, it doesn’t matter what we think. If you feel it’s a bit too showy for your style, then you should tell your Fiance. But for the time being I think you should just enjoy it and get used to wearing it. Many girls will attest that the ring that seemed so huge at first “shrinks” after a while. If you still feel the same way in a month or so, then tell your Fiance you’re overwhelmed and would prefer a more modest stone.

I think it’s perfect!  I have a 5.25 size finger and a 1.07 carat center stone.  Mine has diamonds in the band also, which makes it a bit more “flashy.”  Sometimes it helps to see the same thing on someone else’s hand:
