Dont put the dance floor in the middle of the room It creates a barrier to people wanting to mingle with others on the other side of the room . Put it at one end.You can rent furniture and make little social groupings or chairs and a center coffee table for gatherings.As far as dancing goes…know who your audience is. Have a little something for all. I’ve heard of putting a line on the RSVP card for guests to write one song they would like to hear. That gives you a better idea of what your guests want to hear.The DJ can make or break the party. Hire one who is interactive with the crowd.
