Maybe you can find a luau restaurant to go to? Or see if someone can do it on the beach.

Why is a restaurant “silly”? Most places have seperate rooms where you can have a private party so you feel secluded.

If you are staying at a hotel- maybe they have a small room or pool side bar? At a beach house- just use the kitchen!

I’ve been to small destination weddings where the reception was in the private dining area of a restaurant. It was great because we still had the intimacy of our small party and continued on with the wedding speeches, cake cutting, etc. 🙂

I LOVE Maui and I love Hawaiian weddings (we wed on the north shore of Oahu!)…I’m excited to hear all about your wedding!

@macbookbee123: Are you planning to pay for the meals of all of your guests, regardless of which option you choose (restaurant, luau, etc.), or do you plan to ask your guests to pay for their own meals? I was unclear about that from the above discussion.

@ostrich: Did you have a reception after your wedding? We are getting married in Oahu as well and I’m going crazy trying to find a reception location. We still want the traditional first dance, cake, toast, etc with our small group.
