I’m trying to come up with some fun activites for guests to do during the reception if they aren’t really into dancing. We’ve got a crowd of older folks who probably won’t dance much and another young adult crowd that don’t really like to dance. I want to provide everyone with something super fun so that they’ll have a great time!
Any ideas bees? What have you seen/enjoyed at weddings you’ve been to?

puzzles are always fun – like crosswords or word searches! and adding a prize incentive helps liven things up too.
or photobooths! people love photobooths.
we’ll be playing bingo at our second reception soon..hopefully that’ll be fun too!

If people don’t dance then they will socialize.

One of my friends is thinking about having some board games since there isn’t going to be any dancing. Is your wedding outside? Maybe while it’s still daylight you could have bocce ball or croquet or something.
In my experience, it seems like older folks are excited to catch up with family and don’t care if there’s nothing to do but dance. For the younger ones, the photobooth and games seem like a cute idea!

The photobooth was busy the whole night! We had props for everyone and they loved it!
And i like the idea of personalizing the games.. like a word search, or crossword with things that are about you as a couple.
