I am looking for some possible activities to help our guests get to know eachother, share a few laughs, and essentially break the ice with one another.
Several of our guests are divorced/unmarried so I would like to reduce the marriage-related games.
I thought about putting some Trivial Pursuit (or similar) questions on the tables. We are also considering asking our guests to share "our dirty laundry" about us on slips of paper to be hung on a clothesline for others to read.
We will have a DJ who can help move things along. The DJ will do some dance activities like the YMCA and chicken dance.
Thanks for your help!

Our guests conspired against us to make us play the following games:
– Line up a bunch of male guests plus the groom. With her eyes closed (can’t use a blindfold or the makeup will smudge!), the bride must touch each of their legs to guess which one is her groom’s.
-Line up a bunch of female guests plus the bride. With the groom’s eyes closed (or with a blindfold if available), the groom must touch each of their hands sans jewelry to guess which one is his bride’s. My hubby’s brother actually sat in on this activity, which made the game super hilarious!
Other popular ideas include:
– interesting table names that will spur conversation
– candy buffet

We’re going to put out cards for a photo scavenger hunt. I think the cards were originally meant for disposable cameras the bride and groom supply and collect at the end of the night, but we alterred the poem so people can use their own digitial cameras. Plus, we’re hoping some of the photos the cards suggest will prompt people to perform these activities (like crazy dancing or telling us funnywedding advice)!

Hopefully this will work…
Anyway, you get the idea, and you can ask me if you want the template.

Mrs. Spring: this is a great idea! and a sneaky way to get pics the photographer misses! I wanted to have cameras for the guests to use but never thought of a cute way to get guests to use them. THANKS! 🙂

We’re having crossword puzzles with trivia about us, including instructions for guests to ask each other for help with the answers.

Thanks for the ideas! The photo scavenger hunt is fun, neat idea. I love it. I also like the idea of having the bride/groom find each other. That’s definitely would create some laughs. Thanks for the suggestions!

Miss Kitten (I thnk?) posted about quiz cards that looked really fun. I believe they’re scattered around tables during cocktail hour. 🙂
