My Fiance and I have been thiinking about having a reception after we return from our wedding/honeymoon.But I feel like since the majority of everyone was being so rude and has not replied to our RSVP’s I don’t want to be bothered with them so I was planning on not inviting these ppl. My dad for one who told me that he paid 10K last year to take my sisters on a Disney Crusie but dosen’t have $1500 to come to my wedding!!!
Do you think that I am right for feeling this way or I am just being dramatic?

I think I need more details to clarify. So you’re having a destination wedding? When was the RSVP deadline?

@risingsun: the rsvp deadline is this saturday and the booking deadline is today… we sent out 56 invitations and only received 14 rsvp’s.

I don’t think you should hold it against people who can’t or don’t make it to your Destination Wedding. It’s a lot of money to spend on someone else’s vacation and a lot of people can’t afford it or have other financial priorities.
While they should at least RSVP no, a lot of guests even in non-DWs don’t do that and brides have to track them down. That’s just part of the wedding planning game unfortunately. Also, no one owes you any excuse for why they can’t come to your wedding, especially if it’s a Destination Wedding

Do you have clear reasons on why you would want a celebration party once you return from your destination wedding ceremony/reception/honeymoon?
