My Fiance and I have decided to have a "reception" before the wedding. The reception will take place at about 10 am and the ceremony will begin around 11 am. I know it’s early but we are very far from both of our homes and this way we can mingle with our guests before hand and have the rest of the afternoon after the ceremony to spend with our families. I need suggestions on foods to serve.

How about tea sandwhiches and other tea house offerings? I just found out that my local tea house caters and I thought this would be so cool for a relaxing get together.
A few websites suggested: Two or three varieties of quiche or fritatta, mixed fruit salad and muffins with coffee and juices to drink. Chocolate dipped strawberries and limiting alcohol to the toast.

any kind of breakfast casserole (eggs, sausage, cheese, spinach).
a waffle station where you order your waffle and then get to top it.
pastries (croissants, danishes, brioche)
fresh bagels with a selection of cream cheeses, lox, capers, etc.

Mimosos would great with a morning brunch.

Ooh! Waffle station with a selection of toppings, how fun! I second that suggestion. I was also going to say Eggs Benedict would be great. This is making me wish I was having a brunch reception – I love breakfast food. Your guests will love it!
