So my dilemma is that my reception hall is not exactly what I had initially envisioned my wedding location to look like b/c of our lowered budget….I am already in love with our red/black/white theme but the building inside has a blue and white checkered floor! Is this totally going to ruin it or can we work around it with our same decor ideas of all black and white things with red accents/flowers/etc? Our theme is casino/gaming/lucky in love as well if that helps…

I don’t think it will be obvious.
Do you mind posting the name of the venue so I can see photos of it online?

If you light the venue a little less, you won’t notice the dif between navy and black..
Plus, you’ll be in the middle of your wedding day – you shouldn’t notice the floor!

Would it be possible to rent a wooden dance floor for the venue? This could help mask the color even more in the area where it would be the most visible.

You could rent a carpet, if the blue is a light blue. Otherwise, if it’s navy, I agree that with dimmer lighting (as you would have in a casino), you won’t really be able to tell the difference.

Trust me, no one will notice the floor. Poeple hardly notice the chairs, let alone the floor! Put your efforts into focal points like the centerpieces and cake table, to draw eyes elsewhere.
