You might want to check out McCalls for anything cake related – they make cakes and will probably rent you anything that you might need. Their website is a little crap (http://www.mccalls.ca/), but head out to their store and talk to them.

In terms of other party rentals, I’ve had good experience with a place in Missisauga called Higgins Event Rentals (http://higginseventrentals.com). Mind you, that was for a charity – not a wedding. Hope I’ve helped at least a little!

@joyceantoinette:  I will be trying my luck with Pure Events (a Peter and Paul’s company) because I’m having my reception at one of their halls. They have some promos on right now that fit in my bidget so fingers crossed it works out – if not, I’m in the same boat as you are! 🙂

Try Creations by Gitta. They have been in this business for a while and out of 3 quotes we’ve got so far, theirs is the most reasonable.

You could also take a look at Rose Petal Decor: http://www.rosepetaldecor.com  they’re not super-well known, but they do gorgeous work.

@its_erin_j:  I’m having my wedding at one of their venues and they offered me the following packages (I’m meeting with her next week so if anything new comes up I’ll let you know):

linens, napkins and chiavari chairs – 7.50pp

linens, napkins, chiavari chairs, and choice of centrepiece options (4″ hydrangea and roses, crystal globe, or silver/gold candelabra) – 12.50pp

Keep in mind there’s a lovely caveat about how those costs don’t include delivery, set up and taxes (and I haven’t found out what that comes to yet).

Hope this helps! For me it works out to cheaper than the quote from the florist for centrepieces and the quote I got for the chairs. Let me know if you find something better! 🙂

you may want to check out O.M.G Events.

I met with Alex and she is the most amazing person to deal with ever, let alone, her pricing is even better!!!

Hey Bees,

I am finally getting on top of all of my wedding vendors, and I wanted to leave a note here to say that after long months of searching, I booked with Rosepetal Decor for my wedding.

They have really great pricing, and I’ve seen a few of the weddings they have done, and they are gorgeous.

Felicia from Rosepetal also gave me a really reasonable quote for all of the decor I asked for!

The URL for them is wwww.rosepetaldecor.com
