Is there  compromise somewhere? 200 is huge, 50 is pretty small  – what about 100? I had about 110 at my wedding and it felt pretty intimate. I think it the perfect number – not big, but not too small.   I think that is the best case scenario so you are both compromising, nobody is getting exactly what they want, but he gets the big wedding feel and you get the cozy, intimate affair. Just a thought.

On one hand I feel like if he’s made this compromise and always answers yes with follow up questions then its now on him if this isn’t truly ok. On the other you know him better than we do so if you genuinely feel that he won’t be happy with a 50 person wedding maybe you can further compromise with a slightly larger guest list? 100-125 maybe? If it were me I’d stick with the 50 but only bc I know Fiance is very outspoken about what he wants. If he says its fine then thats it and no need for follow up questions.

When you actually start planning and looking at the costs you will definitely want the 50 person reception, but that’s just my opinion! After getting a bit closer to my date I have realized that every time I have tried to make decisions to make sure that someone else is happy i’ve always regretted it. If your fiance has said he is happy multiple times, just be happy that he wants to do the 50 person venue. ๐Ÿ™‚

cantwait2bwong makes a good point. If cost is even a tiny factor start crunching a few numbers to compare a 50 person vs. 200 person wedding and show your Fiance. He might change his tune entirely and be grateful you want an intimate wedding. ๐Ÿ˜… Which to me are the best. ๐Ÿ˜Š
