I absolutely LOVE the idea of having a reception dress- something shorter/glam/sexy to dance in. BUT I still want the “traditional” pictures of the first dance/cake cutting, etc in my ceremony dress.
For those of you ladies who plan on having a second dress- when did, or do, you plan on debuting your reception dress??!? Will you walk into the reception with it or do you plan on changing later? And if later, do you plan on making a “grand entrance” in it? if so, how??
need some ideas!!!

yeah, if you want to cut the cake and do the first dance in it…that’s kind of most of the reception…

Agreed, after dinner. That way you give your ceremony dress the attention it deserves. 🙂

I think if you want to do all that in it, you shouldn’t make a grand entrance because most of the reception will be over with. If you really want a second dress, just change when you want and don’t make a big deal out of it.

I changed into my reception dress (chinese chi pao) after dinner, and then actually changed back into my ceremony dress for the bouquet toss! It was a lot of effort, but totally worth it. 🙂
