I’m wearing a mermaid dress and just hoping for the best!  BCBG just put out some gorgeous short white dresses but they’re more in the high $300’s 🙁 Here’s the link to their “little white dresses” page: http://www.bcbg.com/family/index.jsp?categoryId=4392742&cp=2769162&clickid=cat_leftnav_txt’ defer=’defer

You look amazing in your dress so if I were you, I’d keep it on for the reception–but I always love any excuse for a new dress so if you see something awesome, and you’re positive your current dress is too tight to dance at all, then go for it!

How about this dress? It’s about 250.

David’s Bridal makes some short dresses, too!

I have a fun reception dress that I am looking to sell for only $200.  I bought it and now have decided to go with another dress.  I paid well over $400 just a month ago.  It is a size 3/4 let me know if you are interested.

That dress is HOT! I personally wouldn’t want to take it off until I was FORCED to do so. If you really want a reception dress, David’s bridal definitely has some good ones in your price range. They even have a sale rack that you wouldn’t see on their website that you can check out.

@Girliebride:

I love that dress and that is my size, but what is the material on the bust?  Is it stretchy?

No way! You are gonna look great through the reception in that dress.

I have a mermaid but I practiced dancing after my fitting yesterday and it was ok. My dress has a lot of beading though and it’s super heavy so I opted for a reception dress. I’m on a tight budget, like yourself and I found one on ebay! You are the only one who can decide if you will feel comfortable all night. If you are even questioning it, get it another dress.

@Oneeleven:

The bust is not a stretch material it is more of an organza (sorry I am at work now so I can not check to see the exact fabric).  I am a 34C and it fits well with an unpadded strapless bra.
