We are trying to nail down the details for our reception. We are lucky to use a restaurant so we stopped by the other weekend for dinner and noticed some things we didnt during the walkthrough. The space is darker than we would like, noisy (they will turn down the music volume in our space) and its very plain. We want to brighten the space up, we are having an evening wedding but not horribly late and probably will be over by 7pm. I found the picture below for inspiration but not sure how I want to choose flowers. We definitely like the sunset color ideas with the floral arrangements instead of our previous all white option. Here comes one of the questions:
Do we stick with salmon, coral, raspberry, golden yellow, orange and mango flowers in rose, tulips, peonies and calla lilies? or should we add in like in the photo the pale pink, cream and green florals too?
Like I said the space is dark and even turning the lights up all the way it is still a dark space. We are thinking of bring in uplight (normally not a fan) but we feel it will be neccesary for the space.
What color uplighting do you recommend to get the warmth in the photo? I was thinking amber but I am not sure if there are other options that give a natural warmth without tinting/casting an overpowering hue?
The space does come with chairs but with it being a smaller space I was thinking of wanting to make it feel open and go with the lucite chairs rather than the tall, fabric, stiff chairs the space offers. Is that a bad idea? We are just trying for the space to avoid having such a heavy apperance.
