I think it sounds great! If you want a casual, relaxed wedding, a bbq/cookout would be awesome. With that many people though, it might be best to hire a caterer to cook all that food, so your family can socialize and one person isn’t stuck at the grill. Do what you want and what is special to you and your FH.

I think that the location sounds beautiful and so personal to you as a couple, and that the bbq would be super fun and relaxed.  You will have the time of your life!

I think it will be perfect! I might note that the wedding will be casual or bbq, or something along those lines so that people know what to expect/how to dress, etc.

I’m a Tennessean as well and Fiance and I considered a cookout for the longest time too! What really killed the idea for us was fear of rain, though.  We really did not want to get caught in a summer storm so ended up renting an indoor venue and getting catering.

I would have loved to have a cookout wedding though.  So personal and fun!
