- Wedding: July 2013 - UK
Hello there! A while back, I posted about drama over my wedding ceremony, and I said it would probably be my biggest issue. Emotionally, it probably will be, but everyone who rolled their eyes at my concept that i would have no other problems can say “I told you so” now.
I’m looking for a wedding venue in the UK, either near to Cambridge, Kent, Manchester, or Skipton. The venue must have some sort of accessible green area attached/within the grounds/next door. It doesn’t have to be a “Little Miss Princess Dream Venue”, but it does have to be not completely hideous. They must either let us do our own catering OR be flexible (ie if you buy a 3 course meal from us, you can bring your own evening buffet), and they must either let us bring our own alcohol, or be flexible (ie you can bring your own speciality beer if you have a pay bar for everything else).
We need a sit down meal for 100 guests. We have a budget of £5,000GBP for the dinner, speciality beer, a few bottles of champagne for toasting, the buffet, and the room hire. We are not ruling out strange places like museums, animal shelters etc, but because this is the UK, it can’t be outside. Nor can it be completely inaccessible (we have elderly people in wheelchairs who will not do well being ferried about miles and miles by bus on the day).
Any ideas? I’ve searched a lot and found absolutely nothing so far…
